Mr Barnes has gone for a cleaner cover look showing a new font for the magazine title. The change is introduced for the current issue #201 of CAVALLINO magazine.

I'm fairly new to Cavallino so the original look is probably not so sacred to me :)

I don't like the new look either. Not that the old one is sacred, it's just the new one looks bad.

    This.

Classic magazine with a hokey, stretched standard type. Spring a few bucks, if you want a facelift, and have a graphic artist develop a font just for the magazine.

    Or, leave well enough alone.

Although it does appear to have morphed some over the years, they are apparently only changing the magazine logo, as the website still has the last iteration on the masthead.

Yes I saw the new front cover while I was at Ferrari of Atlanta a few weeks ago. I really like the new look. Of course some people will not like the new look, but it will grow on you. I give credit to JB for mixing it up and keeping it fresh.

I don't mind the look of the new cover (but that's not to say that I love it, either), but skimming through the inside, I was, shall we say, underwhelmed. Again, that's just first impression....

    FWIW. YMMV. etc.etc....

This cover is beautiful! reminds me of Autocar or similar magazines of the 50's.

To each his own of course, but that one is really nicely composed.

I like it. I also like that it seems to have more content.

Now that is a good one. Well done indeed.
But the fonts are still horrible.

I like it a lot. The font has a more classic look which I think is in keeping with the theme of the magazine. Well done, John Barnes.

While I like the new cover, it is the same old content, Ferraris of the 1950s & 1960. I was hoping for a least some Ferraris of the 1970s & 1980s.

No one has mentioned it, but the text

    THE JOURNAL OF FERRARI HISTORY

has disappeared from the cover (but not the contents page). Could this signal a subtle shift in emphasis?
