    Hi Guys,

what is a complete set of Cavallino magazines worth in today's market do you think?

Is it still as collectable as it was a few years ago?

    Thanks

Not sure yet. A mate of mine is selling them, I said I would buy them off him at a fair price, so I want to know what they are worth.

If they are more expensive than I'm willing to pay, I'll advertise them here for him.

I'd estimate around 3K for a complete set for good conditon, an exceptional set will be more. Issue 2 is the most expensive, issue 1 has been reprinted.
It's still collectable, there aren't that many people with complete sets...

I have a complete set, took years to get there. Check the website Albaco for current retail prices, they tend to have most of them. The rare ones don't come up on eBay much.

    Thanks guys,

He has issues 1 - 165 in very good condition.

Some have the banner in top left hand corner, some don't. I think tge banner in corner is from shop purchases and ones without are subscriptions?

Yes that's correct, the banner indicates a shop purchase.
    Cavallino is up to #187

I've got a complete set too, and a second nearly complete set. I think an early Cavallino was my first ebay purchase 13 years ago... , found a few in bookshops and some unlikley places (eg shop at the National Car Museum in S.A.).

Yes I know it is now up to #187, if I purchase I will try to find numbers 166-187.
    So around $3000 you think?
Unfortunately that's more than I was willing to pay so looks like they might be up for sale.

Look on the bright side, it's only $18.18 per issue ( for the 165) , and you get to buy them in one lot. If you tried chasing up individual issues on ebay / albaco it would take ages and most likley cost more.
