Jon, Do you know who are the owners of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione and the Gulf 308? Last summer I saw those exact same cars at the Ferrari Festival in Mont-Tremblant. (pic) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey look, it's Jerry, Jerry, Martin, and Marion right in the middle of the pic of the red boxer. Of course, in standard form for the weekend, Jerry is about to put the moves on Marion -R
"NART Spyder" "Dino" is actually Peter Sachs' 365 P2. #73 is Sachs' 335 Sport. #11 is Chuck Wegner's 625 LM. #34 and #57 are 500 TRCs #2 is a LWB Spyder California Competition #36 is a 166 MM/53, the first Ferrari bodied by Scaglietti to a design by Dino Ferrari. "TR60" is (again) Jon Shirley's 250 TR Prototype from 1957/58. "Cav" is Sachs' 250 TRI/61 LeMans Winner FWIW, the Gulf 308 is a 308 GT/Michelotto. It is a pure race car, with almost nothing other than the shape in common with a street 308.
John, Not off hand, I'll check the event guide. I know Peter Sachs was driving his 365 during the historic race like a bat out of hell! Jon
Thanks for the help on ID'ing the cars, I'm still trying to learn how to id each model. Hope the photo's make up for the id errors! Jon
"Hey look, it's Jerry, Jerry, Martin, and Marion right in the middle of the pic of the red boxer. Of course, in standard form for the weekend, Jerry is about to put the moves on Marion" I was just about to say the same thing Robin, "hey look at me trying to steal Martin's wife like I did his 355 Friday night!!" I am also in the middle of the foreground in "show 2". I was just pretty much making a nuisance of myself. Check out the chick in the middle of "show 7". She looks like Sarah Jessica Parker. Also the chick in the black on the far right on "Cav". Jerry likes hotties.
Ok, even as a skeptic of everybrand, I must say this area (heritage) takes back MAJOR points for Ferrari vs any marque on earth, even porsche just doesnt have the vast array of era-defining exotics
show 7 above looks to be Bruce Perrone's 750 Monza 0502M, unique for its lack of a headrest on a Scaglietti-bodied car.
After attending the show 2 years in a row, I missed this year. Thanks for taking the time to take the pictures and posting them. Great cars, great photography!!
