Again, the "Dino", race number 37, is a 365 P2, chassis 0838. It's a 4.4 liter V12. On the other hand, "Show 9" IS a Dino, a 206 SP chassis 008. The two GTOs are 3445, ex-Matsuda, raced by Bill Noon for Charlie Arnott, its owner (whose 512 S suffered problems). The other is 3705, raced by Leslie Davies against her husband Ed, who drove a 250 SWB/Comp 61. Noon formerly owned the 308 Michelotto, and it was his at Mont Tremblant last year (and will be again this year). It's now owned by Steve Dudley. The #123 Daytona is owned by the husband of the driver of the silver 500 TRC #57 (chassis 0706). They're Canadian, and will also be at Tremblant this year.
The first thing I thought of when walking past that car: "How the hell did he get that thing on the curb?!?!" I was there with a friend of mine (who happens to own the first F40 that came to the US, which is on the track often, and a 512TR; neither were brought to the Cavallino) on Saturday. A very nice event, I'm already itching for next year!
Okay I should receive a fee for the use of my FerrariChat login on his number plate ... infact PSk is how I initial things! Now where is that fee ... if it is not forth coming in 90 days I think I will just have to take the bloody car! Pete
This car along with the Blue Enzo (and a matching blue 575M) belonged to Peter Kalikow. The 575 had the plate K-1
500 TRC? That doesn't show up in the list of "all the cars ever produced by Ferrari" on the owners' website. When were they built? How many were made? Its body is clearly different from the 500 TR... is it related? If so, how similar are its mechanicals? Its similar to a number of old Ferraris; but of those, I think its lines are the best I've seen... the most balanced and complete. I'm very intrigued.
Here are some of the pictures I took: http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/b_myth/album?.tok=phbEwiABc77BFOCi&.dir=/1724&.src=ph Byron
red-riot, these are some really great photos. Any chance you could upload some larger resolution shots? Specifically ones of the cars tracking?
Good photos, especially interesting in your photos (to me anyway) are the shots of the new Maserati saloon and the F612 ... in real situations. Pete
