I was just looking at the value guide in Cavallino. Are they a pretty good barometer for Ferrari Market Values? How does it compare to the Ferrari Market Letter? Cavallino seems to be more specific.

On the car that I follow, I have found it to be a little optomistic on the top end for pricing. Now I only really watch Dino prices, and haven't checked Cavallino in the past couple of months.

FML is an asking price index. They don't claim to represent the actual buying price of cars, just an average of waht people are trying to sell them for.

NNO, you out there to give a more complete explanation fo the API in FML??

However, for comparison, here's what I've seen recently.

Nice 72 246GTS - needed 10K of work Sold for $85K to an overseas buyer
Very nice '74 GTS - white told it was "Perfect" sold last week $110K

Good '72 246GT - needing some cosmetics sold for $70K

Good original '72 246GT needing some cosmetics, and mechanical, original paint and interior $70K This car is gonna need another $20K to get it right.

So, compare those to the FML numbers and the Cav numbers.
