From time to time I see various issues of Cavallino for sale at widely different prices, sometimes by the same seller. What determines the particular value of a particular issue. I have #14 thru #157 and would like to sell them. Where do I start ?

Subscribe to Fchat for $15 and place an ad in FerrariAds.com The link can be seen in the blue bar towards the top of the page. The issues are just like the cars some are more interesting than others. It all depends on the contents and for the early issues simply the age of the magazine. Anything less than mint condition and the price will suffer to. Coverage of a Daytona or Dino or F40 will increase the value of that issue compared to a less interesting topic covered in a different issue. Some popular issues have 'sold out' and command a bigger price tag when available. However only the issues prior to #31 seem to be in great demand. Part of the problem is the sheer weight of all those magazines; shipping can be costly.

    #14 is pretty early....

As stated you can sell them here, on eBay or even back to the publisher, I believe!

The first issues were fewer in number, so anything sold one at a time, below issue #20 brings crazy money..

I once saw original #1, 2 snd 3 push over $600 at an auction...

OTOH, we've had a poster come in here and recount how his local Library had all those same issues out on the "Free Take One" table!!! LOL! He picked them all up, based upon quality of paper and photography.

A FULL set can be worth $2,500 to $4K in the "boom times"...

Good luck, I think my oldest issue is #11, then jumps to #18 or so.....not a full set.

Condition is the only thing that would drive variable pricing of the same issue....

Cavallino itself publishes a Price Guide of sorts, based upon the inventory they have on hand

I'm lucky to own a full set with an original issue 1... Took many years to complete...

Due to the economy value went down a bit of single issues but early ones are still expensive and will never be "cheap".

You can take a look on the website of the magazine itself. Go to www.cavallino.com and look for "back issues". There you can also see what they are asking for each different issue... When available that is...

I believe i have #31-56 but no longer subscribe and don't collect. To me ''most'' of the info is on vintage Ferrari's, i'm more interested in the modern classics say 1975-1988.

Each issue tends to be a "snapshot in time" as they do cover the racing events, the new cars as announced at the factory, and then I agree they really focus on vintage and restorations....

Looking at the first issues advertising "New" 308s is pretty nostalgic!

You need to spring for the red holders, that breaks it down to 10# a piece...

Nrs 14 thry 43 have gone for a fair price.
Have nrs. 44 thru 157 (minus #50), 113 issues left, all in as-new condition. Box is in my way; will sell them for $4 each (most sell for $20 by Cavallino). One lot for $450 or maybe my local library will get them.
