Looking at a Cayenne GTS. Any advice, issues from those that have one?
Get PDCC and air suspension options, really improves the handling Mines a stick. 1-2 upshift is painfully slow. With 411 gears you're shifting a lot No issues, 10k miles now. Its my 5th cayenne
i currently own my 2nd turbo. i had great luck with my '04. my '08 is just about one year old and i am taking it in for the first time for service (oil change, also the air bag "idiot light" is coming on).
Just took delivery of my 2010 Cayenne GTS this week and so far I love it. At first I didn't like the shape of the stock Cayenne and honestly didn't like the idea of the Porsche SUV either. The GTS trim solves any issues I had with the plain Jane design of the early ones. I drove the GTS and very quickly changed my mind about the whole Porsche SUV issue. This thing is pure Porsche. It covers a lot of bases. You quickly forget this is a 3 ton vehicle. Click it into Sport mode and the exhaust note is fantastic. I have 19" snow tires on it (being in MN) and so far it has been great. For me it is a perfect and very fun daily driver. My $0.02. Feel free to PM any questions. Christopher.
Mine has been a great car, it hold two dog crates just fine, and is a great driver. Everything is pretty thoughtful, nav is good, radio etc good enough, and the power is fine. Drove the Turbo before buying, dogs werent all that impressed with the additional power. Seriously, it is our secon Cayenne, and we like it a lot. Malcolm
Thinking about one myself to replace my 997 as a DD, great steering, good power, and fine brakes for such a heavy model. However, there will be a new model in about 6 models and Porsche will show the new car in about 2 months, so probably a good idea to wait and see that car that is a bit more stylish outside, about 400lbs less weight and more of a Panamera inside.
I've driven many cayennes and I love the GTS with stick shift. First gear is pretty much useless unless moving from a dead stop. But other than that, I think they are a more enjoyable drive than a turbo cayenne any day.
