Here is a youtube video from some British guy that captures exactly what the 981 cayman S is. If you want to skip the cheesy part, go to 2:30 where the meat start.

That car has to have the sport exhaust and the Sport Plus mode just like the guy has it. Then let it go on some twisted empty back road and you’ll be smitten.

Couple of things to improve thou:

1: I had the Techart paddle shift installed on my multifunction. The buttons are just ridiculous. A bit pricey for what it is but you keep the multifunction and the paddleshifts are so much useable.
2: I had mesh grids installed in the front fascia to protect the coolers inside
3: I had a clear bra installed (3M or Xpel). On dirty road, I noticed the stone chips tend to hit the lower panels more than any of my other cars on the same road I can hear the hits).
4: Get the ventilated seat option because in summer you may drive it for hours and hours on and the feature really works (my first ventilated seat I have had).

There are many great car around these days but a loaded 6 cyls Cayman S may be the best value around that is a true sports car and a daily driver. It is the perfect affordable bi-polar car in the $50Ks to $60Ks for a low miles, couple of years old. Annual service is $800, much better than the $2500 min for my Aston.

Interesting video. I have been very tempted by a Cayman on a number of occasions ever since the first one broke cover, but I just can't bring myself to part with this:

Gorgeous 964. Although I am a 993 owner/devotee, I must say the 964 is another Porsche high point for me. I love the blocky bumpers and how they contrast but integrate with the rest of the design. Porsche really got it right with last two air-cooled cars. Yummy!

I had an '07 Cayman S and they are great cars, IMO. They have more in common with the older 911s than the new 911s do. I recently drove a 718 S and it was a riot!
