I think the CCB option was about $13k back in 2005? What about the carbon fiber racing seats? Anyone have the CF Racing Seats? Are they comfortable once you get your settings adjusted?

Also, how long do the pads last on CCB's, if no track use? I understand new pads are about $3500? Do the rotors last "forever" or at least 30-40k mi??? Thanks!

    CCB was $16,808 on my 2007 F430.
Don't know about the racing seats - hopefully someone else will post that info.

I think the rotors will last at least 40-50k miles from what I've read here if you don't track it.

So I am seriously considering an 06' with the Racing Seats in Lrg size...does anyone have these seats...are they comfortable. the car is basically everything I have been looking for but has these seats rather than powered daytonas...the car is 2800mi, so can't really go sit in them...Any 1st hand experience would be greatly appreciated. I am going to go try and find a local car at a dealer with the same seats to see how the feel and fit!

I had those seats in my old 360 and now in my Stradale. I can't tell you what size they are but I think they are very comfortable. They could use a little more padding on the bottom for longer drives but otherwise I really like them. They sit a few inches lower than the standard seats or daytonas but I prefer them.

When I was shopping for a F430 2+ years ago, I searched for over 8 months for a 2005 with CCB and CF Seats. Only 2 cars came around, they sold for $228k and $215k, both of them 2005 cars.

Ferrari did not offer the CF seats in 2006 or newer F430.

The CF seats were a $5k option, and worth every penny in my opinion, as they reduced 83 lbs from the F430 compared to the powered Daytona (most F430 have these), or 62 lbs lighter than the standard F430 seats (not very popular). Combined with the CCB brakes, you could get a F430 that's less than 100 lbs heavier than the Scuderia.

Brake pads for CCB are very expensive, $3,500 to $4,400 a set of front and rears. Brake pads for the standard brakes are cheap, and there are aftermarket options.

With no track use, I have wore out 2mm of my front pads and 1mm on my rear pads in the Scuderia, I put these pads at less than 1,000 miles, as I made the mistake to track the car on the stock street pads.

I use a different set of CCB pads (from Ferrari for street/track use) for a track day or autocross day. The car has over 7,000 miles most of them on the streets. The pads are 10mm thick in actual pad material when new, and I would not run them beyond 4mm left, the sensors kick in at 2mm left on material.

At my current use, I could get 18,000 miles (or 24,000 miles if I wait for the sensors to go off) for the front pads, and 36,000 miles from the rear pads (or 48,000 miles if I wait for the sensor to go off).

Ferrari recommends to replace the CCB rotors every 2 sets of pads, or based on the wear rate accumulated by the electronics when they reach 30% life or less, whichever goes first.

With no track use, you could get close to 50,000 miles from the front rotors and 2 sets of brake pads, and double that for the rear. I mean street use, not spirited driving, just the regular U.S. commuter style driving at 55 mph. Street use definition in Europe wears the pads and rotors much more rapidly, as they have to slow down from 150+ mph to 75 mph on the Autobahn, plus all the fast and beautiful roads in Europe that are commonly driven at a spirited pace.

At the track, with 60 minutes of driving, I wear 2mm of pad material from my track pads per day in the front, and 1mm in the back. I can get 4 track days of 60 minutes on these track pads for the front, and 8 days for the rear. The stock pads wore 3mm in just one day with 45 minutes of driving and they developed multiple cracks that would accelerate the wear on the expensive CCB rotors, so I did not use them anymore for track use.

Wow! Superb info. Looks like the CCBs are that hard to upkeep for street driving.

Attached is my sticker of my old 430 with CCB and seats. The seats are only available as a factory option in the US in 2005. In my opinion it is a must have combination. I had 10K miles on my car and 1 really long track day and many hard canyon runs and the pads were at less than 30% wear when I sold it. I am 6'2" 190lbs and I had the large seats. I drove one trip nearly 500 miles and I got just a little fatigued at that point but on a regular basis they are very comfortable!

Thanks so much 430GT and Rob, that info was EXTREMELY helpful...My mistake, i typed 05' the car is an 06'. So the seats are Racing seats, but not Carbon Fiber is what you guys are saying??? Rob, I am 5'8" 150lbs, are these seats just simply too big, and I need to move on? Rob, is your Window Sticker off of a 05' or an 06'?

Like I said the car is on the East Coast, and thus i can't go sit in it... Does anyone in So Cal have Lrg Racing Seats, I can check out in person. Thanks again. BTW, the car has 6800mi. on it...So I am pretty sure I am good on brakes according to 430GT's post. Anyone have any idea if ALL 06's F430 come pre-wired for powered seats regardless of what seat is actually spec'd in case i ever wanted to switch out the seats? Thanks.

I have the large CF Racing seats in my 360. I initially had your same apprehensions about size and comfort level. So far I love the seats: they are very comfortable, look great from inside and outside the car and they weigh a lot less than the Daytonas (if that matters to you). As far as adjustments, I don't miss the power aspects: you adjust the seats once when you get the car and leave them after that (noone else drives my car). It seems a waste to carry around 3-4 extra motors that you basically use once.

The sticker is for my old 05. Can you post a pic of your interior because again... Racing seats were only available in 05 and I'm curious to the seat in your possible car. My 458 should be here any day with large racing seats. They are different seats but large is large and you are more than welcome to audition them.

Good luck on your future car!! Exciting!

They were available in the US for the MY06. OEM Ferrari 360, CS and 430 racing seats are carbon fiber shells covered in leather or Alcantara or both. For the 360, CS and 430 the most common size ordered was large.

glad you posted your demensions. I had large carbon seats in my 360. I am 6ft and 175lbs with a 34" waist. I personally thought they were too big for me. So you might swim in them depending on your build. I also personally liked the carbon seats, but thought they didn't have enough lumbar support for longer drives. And my wife hated them. If I get a 430, I will be looking for Daytonas. I'll save the race buckets for my race car...

I know that is not what most people will say, but I don't see the 360/430 as a track car. Its too much of a street car for that to me. So my goal may be a little different than other people...

Only bit of advice is that 2800mi away is just a plane ride. you are going to see the car every day. spending $800 on a plane ticket is a small bit of insurance to make sure you are getting what you want.

The CF seats fit like a glove and are great if you intend to track the car. My only gripe is that lumbar support seems to be lacking somewhat. They also are not height adjustable which might be an issue if you are vertically challenged.

Racing seats for F430 was still available as an option till '06 model. When I ordered my F430 in '07 and was told by dealer that racing seats were no longer available due to air bag sensor.

The car looks great. Too bad it's so far away. That's a long way to travel just to sit in the driver's seat.

Find some Large seats to try out because that is a NICE car! Also note that all standard seats and Daytona's are considered large too.

I had c/f seats in my 360 and my CS. I found them very comfortable. I had many 300+ mile trips and really liked them. I currently have medium seats in my Scud. I'm 6'1" and 175 lbs.
