    Hi all,

Posting this here as I don’t believe this to be an issue specific to my model. I have a 2013 FF with 25k miles. I am not the original owner, but the car is super straight. It’s under Power15 and has no issues.

It has never been tracked that I know of. I’ve only even had it on the interstate maybe 4 or 5 times. Hardest braking it ever does is from 45 mph around north Atlanta.

I got the CCM light a few weeks ago. The discs are smooth like glass, no pitting, no groves, etc. They look brand new. Front pads look brand new as well. The back ones are lower, but not incredibly low.

Took it to the local Ferrari dealer and got the dreaded $34k worksheet. They just hooked it up and took the readout. They didn’t weigh the disks. Basically gave me the same story I’ve seen others post… “computer says the disk are end of life, you have to replace all 4, get a code from Ferrari NA, and enter the serial numbers from the disks to clear the CCM light.”

Just wondering if there are legitimate options here. I’ve seen other posts. But, what I can not find is any that have offered a true solution to clear the light outside of spending the thirty thousand and/or taking the car to a shop in the UK that seems to have been successful at resurfacing and resetting the light. But, that thread is old and slightly ambiguous. And, also I’m in North America lol.

Anyone have tangible feedback or experience with this issue? And/or have any suggestions for clearing the light if I do go the resurfacing route?

That’s helpful for sure. I’ll see if I can find a local shop with the Leonardo. Could get one myself, but the $23,000 price tag would be prohibitive in this specific case unless I planned to hang onto it and use it on a regular basis with this and other vehicles.

Just don't think its possible to wear out CCMs in 25k miles and no hard braking. Maybe if you drive the car hard all he time and the rear stability/traction control continuously engages the rear brakes.

B.S on part of the dealer as usual. Ask them to reset it, they don't need that code. Tell them it is your car to do with as you see fit. What's even more interesting is, not only can they reset it. They can turn that idiotic CCM wear crap off all together. What's really bad is the fact that they say you need four new discs. That is rarely the case. The system measures front and rear individually, and you can get discs in sets of two, and each set of two has its own "code".

Many just ignore the CCM warning.

Show them this pic of one of my 488 front rotors and ask them how they can justify replacing your smooth discs, when mine which are clearly heavily worn, are supposedly fine. There's another machine that can reset it. I have forgotten the name, but let me look into it.

That’s encouraging, thank you! I am reserved to the fact that I’m probably going to ignore it for the most part. But, of course, if I decide to sell it at some point I’ll have to have it cleared or replace them. But, I 100% agree there’s just no way they need to be replaced. I even did the cotton ball test just to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me and the ceramics are just hands down in great shape.

That’d be perfect. If I knew of a tool that could reset it and how I could go about it, I’d absolutely be comfortable doing it. Not opposed to spending the money on one. Just not sure I’d use it enough to spend $25k on it lol.

Thank you again!! Those look like similar ones I have seen. Here are a couple I just took of my left front. They’re basically mirrors.
