Has anybody got a CD unit with bluetooth feature installed in a F-car, which enables handsfree communication for mobile phones with bluetooth?

Is is any good in practical term?

I bought a bluetooth module for my 2000 BMW M5 and I love it. I have a bluetooth phone and it works much better than the hardwired OEM Startec that came with the car...and its wireless.

I've used Bluetooth for a few years in a BMW too. The technology is absolutely WONDERFUL for handsfree communication. In fact, I just upgraded my phone from an Ericsson R520m (antique!) to a Motorola V551 and the Bluetooth functionality seems richer, and the working range seems much further -- perhaps 20 feet. I have an Ericsson HCB-01 installed in a 2001 740i. Installed it myself, in a few hours with no problem.

Even with the old R520m, if I put the phone in the trunk of the car in my briefcase, the bluetooth handsfree still works perfectly in the cabin.

(The jury is still out regarding Bluetooth having any other decent functionality for me. The bluetooth synchronization with Outlook works, but it's pretty darn slow.)
