Damn...for the first time i fell in love with a ferrari and seriously considered buying one...but one thing pulls me back...i looked at the configuration on ferrari.com, and I was shocked to notice that on 458 Italia, there is no CD player / Radio...I am new to Ferraris, and generally sport cars...and never really payed attention but seriously, is there no Radio / CD player? And is this only for this model? Please, any kind of help regarding confusion in my head would be great...
    Cheers,
    Joshua

It has radio & iPod connection (don't know about CDs) + satnav all integrated.

Accessible on the righhand TFT adjacent to the rev counter and controllable with the knobs/buttons positioned on either side of the steering wheel on the dash.

Check out other threads in the forum for more details.

Radio is standard. Sat/Nav is optional as is the choice between Ipod vs CD option.

Eventually, I am sure they will offer higher end options for speakers, amps, etc. It's still early.

I've heard the new Lexus has a GREAT radio!
    ;)

Seriously, though- If you're new to sports cars and you want a Ferrari, check out the California. It has a lot of the Ferrari "pluses" without any of the "negatives". Plus you get a convertible/hardtop hybrid- and the radio is pretty good too! :)

California is kinda feminine to be honest...and it is not as a powerful machine...all my life i've been into SUVs and bikes...I wanna try a sport car! And screw the radio, the sound of a Ferrari is music for my ears, but still...imagine a long road (since I travel long distance a lot) without any music, or radio to harass seeking good songs...it would be kinda dull and monotone...right?

458 Italia has this aura of being "new", and it really does have a very "new" and different look that is very attracting...

P.S. I love the front, and the LEDs, it was a stylistic bullseye if nothing else...Looks epic...

I don't care what kind of car it is or if they make it an option...but when you put a stereo in a Ferrari it shouldn't be a piece of ****. Spare me the "I just listen to the engine" bs...

Why is that BS? I never use that Radio/CD player in the F430. I really do just listen to the engine.

In my car with the Tubi exhaust, I really can't hear the radio very well unless I turn the volume way up, and even then the engine interferes, so I just don't use it at all. Doesn't matter how good the stereo is, it is pointless to listen to it with white noise in the background.

I burnt a load of CDs for my first F430 journey, all my favourite tunes. That lasted about 20 minutes and it's never been used since.

I thought it was all BS as well, "just listen to the engine" sounded ridiculous to me until you strap yourself into one of them. I tried listening to the radio and I always end up turning it off after a couple of minutes. The engine does sound great but more importantly, there are people trying to see the car on the highway, they video the car on their iphones and some are really not paying attention and drifting into your lane. I think the radio is a real distraction and somewhat dangerous for a car that should have your constant attention.
