Make sure the drive you are using is the one you are trying to start. Did the disk go thru any finalizing process ?? Sometimes you burn a cd and pop it out before it finakizes it and the data will show up but not play. I had that happen to me before.

Just try it again and make sure it finalizes. I use Nero and it is pretty easy. The Windows CD writing program is easy also. Maybe try one of these to burn if it doesn't work for you.

Finalize means you cannot append any items. Also, each time you do append, it eats up another 50MB because it needs to recatalog it.

If you do not see anything in the drive, try another type of CD. Some writers/readers are finiky about what they prefer to write to and what they read from. I had one cdr years ago that would write just fine with any type of CD. However, it would never read anything it wrote. I had to put in an older cdrom (read only) to view the contents. Things like that flake out over time. It is not common but it does happen.

    I'm pretty sure 285ferrari is right. I wasted 2 CD's once because I didn't finalize them.
