The Ferrari manual CD's everyone is talking about. You know the ones - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7916492738 Are these actually licensed from Ferrari? If the manuals aren't from Ferrari then who wrote them? Looks to me like any guy technically capable of using a scanner, Adobe Acrobat and a CD burner, has a great way of cashing in. I assume these guys aren't claiming copyright, just charging for "convenience" of making a CD for you. Read this guy's notice from eBay: "Notice:Since these are CDs that are easy to duplicate, returns are NOT allowed". So why is everyone so tight lipped about sharing the files? If you can't give it out over FerrariChat, then how can these guys actually CHARGE to buy the same files?
I haven't tried any of these CDs for sale on Ebay but from description it looks like the free ones (incomplete) that you find easily. I think it is like many things on Ebay and in life, you pay for lack of knowledge or knowledge is power which ever way you look at it. These never sell for much so I admire their stamina to go to so much trouble for literally a few dollars.
You don't even need the scanner for this scam -- the OMs already come in a .pdf format when downloaded from the Owners Site. cavet emptor!
