    Just took the car out for a drive and the CEL came on. Car was running good. The code scanner only stated one code P2179 which stated "system too lean off idle bank 2" Can somebody explain 1) what this means 2) how serious is it and 3) how do I fix it? Thanks for any help.

    No misfire codes? Could possibly be the start of a bad fuel pump.

    Thanks for the reply. I have gotten misfire codes in the past. Based on a search, my next step should be to get a fuel pressure guage and measure both sides? Thanks.

    I am not a pro. There are some very knowledgable pros here. What I would do:

    1- Start here:
    http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Manuals_Other.htm

    2- You say you have had other cel's were they the same code? If u are not sure, or the ans is no I would reset it and go for a drive and see if it pops up again. I don't know if I would start lots of diagnostics for a single code popping up. (See #3)

    3- I have not checked this particular code yet on my iPhone. the link will have more specifics. In general a lean condition could be from fuel delivery, or possibly an air (including vacuum) or exhaust leak, or bad sensor (just what my feeble mind comes up with off the top of my head).

    Remember I am not a pro nor do I pretend to be, so take my advice with a lb of salt.

    Thanks Raymondo. Strange but the code P2179 is not even listed as a code for the 360. The code reader was able to clear the code.

    I did measure the pressure on each fuel rail, both were at 50 PSI.

    Took the car out and noticed the gas cap was a little loose. No more CEL.

    Gangsta!! Good work! Forgot, my bad, that simple thing should always be the first thing checked!! Well at least you know your fuel pressure on both banks.
