My new, replacement cell phone has grown legs and is missing. Is there a way to trace it?
1. You could call it.....it might come home. 2. Call the cell company and see if they can triangulate the area it's in.........if it's on. Doubt they will do this unless they hear "help!!!Help!!!" on the other end.
Tell them you think your fiancee' got cold feet and you think she might be running away... maybe they'll triangluate your phone and send a news crew.

if its a Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, or ALLTEL phone yes if it has GPS built in. If its a GSM phone which would be T-mobile, or newer AT&T or Cingular then no. What model is it?
Good phone, Im more partial to the old school blackberry's..No way to find that one but I would leave it on....Once you disconnect it, no way to ever hope to find it. I would try to call it all weekend and see if someone answers it.
You should've installed a LoJack....or one of those transmitters park rangers use to track bears...they usually work well. Ooh, I almost forgot...I have a buddy who owns some divining rods. Maybe they'll help. Sorry, that wasn't very helpful was it?
It was a shipped replacement. Battery was not in it and no SIM as well. If it gets turned on, can they trace the IMEI?
Technically they can, unfortunately they wont. The only time you can trace an IMEI is if you possibly knew who might be using a phone. We did this to a guy that stole a phone from one of our stores....then the guy came back to our other store 2 days later and asked if we had any left over manuals for the phone! Ding Ding Ding...We got the guys name and number and told him if we found one we would give him a call. Called customer service to find out if he was using the IMEI and sure enough he was. Needless, to say, we got our phone back.
