I still have both landline and cellphone.

The only reason I can't cancel my landline is because of the internet. I never use it. All phone calls goes to my cell almost 98% of the time.

Just dumped my land line when I switched from DSL to cable internet. I never used the land line, and that's $50/month back in my pocket.

I still have both, but have contemplated dumping the land line. I see that T-Mobile is advertising a package that seems to blend traditional cell phones with other phones inside the house. Anyone using this or something similar? I'd be more in favor of bringing my cell phone home and plugging it into some type of home phone network rather than being stuck with only one phone inside the house.

I have Vonage + cell phones for now. If Vonage goes under, I'll probably drop VOIP and go cell only. The only thing I don't like is that my cell doesn't work too well in the basement.

Wife and I have our cell phones and the home phone. Only reason for the home phone was because it dropped our monthly cable down 30 bucks for having it, it's that cable phone stuff. I only use it now for our access gate, lol.

Cell phones only here, even my parents dropped their land line. Oddly enough my oldest sister just ditched her cell for a land line, I'm still kinda confused with that one. When time comes to have a home phone, we'll probably go with something like the hotspot from tmobile.

I kept the land line after switching to cable Internet -- it's dirt cheap and I can use my big speakerphone for conf calls (toll free numbers, so no long distance charges).

I was a cell + voip guy until I got Verizon FIOS. The "phone" part of the FIOS trio package is actually a normal land line (as opposed to VOIP) which I'm not overly against. During the last blackout, my VOIP went down (obviously) but our neighbors with a land-line were using it.
