    Hello,

It is time for replacement tires on my 360 Spider and would like to do a conversion to a center lock setup with Challenge wheels. I would like to find a used set of wheels and or hub adapters. I know that Capristo make a kit that is a direct bolt on with the center lock spindles, however; the full kit is $7,000. Has anyone had a fabrication shop make their own adapters? It does not seem like it would be that difficult? Thoughts?

$7000 is cheap for a complete set-up. Much cheaper than having parts machined unless you have your own machine shop and relevant skills.

Google "image wheels" in the UK, they make centrelock adapter kits for around £1000 and centrelock wheels in all styles to go with them.

I have had a set made in the past in aluminium by local machinists for under £700 for 4 bolt on adapters and 90mm nuts to go with them.

Thanks for the tip, I just asked them about making some for my 4C.

No problem, the $/£ exchange rate is very much in your favour at the moment :)

The centerlock kit from Taurino (Capristo USA) is $4k for the adapters + $3k for brand new BBS challenge wheels. The adapter kit is well made and perfectly spaced for the 360/430. You can find used BBS centerlock challenge wheels here and there and piece them together for about $1500-2000 if you take the time to do so.
