Fast car enthusiasts, I'm putting together a track day before the end of the year at The FIRM. It's an awesome 1.6 mile track in near Ocala with lots of open run off areas an very few walls (see track pic and vid). This will be a very relaxed day with fewer than 10 cars.. no rushed 20 minute sessions, no pressure, no passing, no stress! Just a group of guys wanting to push a little harder than you can on public roads. The track will be open all day and you will be free to enter/exit the track at will. Proposed dates are Dec 22,23,28,29 or 30th. I'll pick the date with the highest interest. With 10 cars the cost will be ~$300 each.. but if that is a deal breaker.. a donation to the cause is all that is required. Sounds very interesting and I like the format. Unfortunately I can't get free those days. If you decide to do this again in the future please post info here. I will try to join in. I will also let some other cars guys know. Is this open to all sports cars or just certain makes?

Had a great day there today...very nice people and a fun technical track...not high speeds, but fun nonetheless. I did have a moment though when hit the brakes hard at 120 mph and the pedal went almost to the floor...boiled the brake fluid. 😬
Holy crap! I've done that before at Sebring.. not fun at all. Any pics, any fun facts you can provide? any advice to the group going next week? And lastly, anyone from the group today want to join us?

I asked...everyone did their track day today, and next week is family holiday stuff...sorry Advice: need pants, shoes, long sleeve shirts...bring lots of water (today was 86F at the track, no shade). Have fun, great relaxed atmosphere, no stress, no egos.

I am about 45 minutes south of Ocala and would love to come, but I don't think I can make it that day, maybe I can come as a spectator for a little while that day. Keep me in mind when you do it again! Alden
