I was wondering the same thing. Im from Decatur. So far I know there is about 3 or 4 Ferraris here, and theres one on the Isringhausen showroom in Springfield, they seem to get them in often. But thats about all I know.

    Yup I am Central Illinois.

    Two & a half Ferrari's personally.

I think I pretty much know all of the Ferrari owners here around the Peoria part of Central Illinois.

    612 manual
    Stradale (mine)
    California red
    355 spider red manual
    355 spider red F1
    355 spider red manual #2
    355 spider F1 #2
    328 coupe white
550 Maranello blue (same guy owns aforementioned 328)
    Mondial 8 Red
    Mondial t coupe Prugna (me)
    Testarossa red
Testarossa red w/ center lock wheels
    360 Black coupe F1
    430 Red coupe F1
430 silver coupe F1 (at Isringhausen & was a friend of mines until he traded it)
    360 Red spider

I think that covers them all... Just going by recent memory.

I had no idea that so many of you were out there. The Southern Illinois & Missouri FCA Chapter encompasses all of Illinois south of the Chicago area. Any of you are welcome to attend our events which are mostly based in the St. Louis area.

In Edwardsville we have a few folks:

    308 GTS QV - me
5 assorted F-cars with another member
California and 458 with his business partner
    360 spyder
    355

In Collinsville we have a member with a 275GTB

Sid has a 360 in either Springfield or Carbondale.

At last weekend's gathering we had a couple from Springfield that have a 512BBi.

Sprunk I think the F430 spider was traded in on a Maserati. Is that Banno by chance? Silverstone with red? If so - its gone. I had also forgotten a pals 308 in Rubino. Its very pretty but he does not drive it much.

    Lots of candidates here.

Ya' know Jeff I was a member of the FOC for a looooong time & attended several Chicago events. I even won an event they had back not too long ago. I just never got hooked on the chapter. Perhaps I should try the FCA?

    Any opinions on that?

We would welcome you and all the other Illinois folks from about Bloomington and on down. Not sure exactly where Chicago has established the dividing line but Bloomington is us.

I know the old FOC when it was run by a string of people in Los Angeles mostly for the California crowd. In ancient history did a lot of activities with them including attending board meetings and track events at Riverside and Ontario Motorspeedway (that should give an indication of just how long ago). Not sure if any of my old friends are even still in the club - know some are dead and some others no longer play with Ferraris.

If one is a member in the FCA then one has the ability to participate in any region or chapter event throughout the US and Canada. Based upon where some of you are in the more north central part of Illinois you could attend Chicago, St. Louis and the Indy groups.

Our group here in St. Louis has a drive in November scheduled and I am working on organizing a Post Holiday dinner party in January.

    Hi sprunk,
I've got a 2003 360 f1 spider, rossa corsa. Morton, illinois. Sadly, I need to go see Michael soon and put her away for the season.

    Very depressing time of year.

    Hey Mr. J!

Its not time to put it away yet! I think we have another month before the salt is applied. Cant wait to see your car though. Keep the top down & the heat turned on. I was over at the biz the other night with the Senator & Governor, great turnout, bravo.

Thanks Michael! That was a good time. I wish I had seen you, I was probably hiding outside smoking. I'm looking forward to you seeing the car too. This is my first, so I really didn't know what to expect. All I can say is WOW! But I'm really looking forward to your opinion.

Don't know if Dr. Mitch told you, but he just picked up another Lotus. If you haven't seen it yet, I'm sure you will shortly. Very nice. Hopefully the three of us can get together for a Bud soon.

    A b s o l u t l y :)

I have not seen the professors new Lotus yet, but I am excited to hear about it.

I will be at the SEMA automotive show the day you stop in on business, but returning the next day late. I will give you a full report after looking yours over - and I think that perhaps you should drive mine too - so you can be more familiar with how they all feel. I would bet they are both very simular but that would give you a basic baseline to compare.

Thank you again / talk soon.

I'm game. If we can't put something together before the end of the season, I think we should at least put a plan in place for spring.

    Hadn’t seen this thread before…

Not a native, but I’m in Danville (35 miles east of Chambana) and am the only Ferrari in Vermilion County.

Would be up for a gathering in central Illinois…
