Would there be any interest in ceramic brakes where the rotors could last at least a full season and the pads through several races? These would be a direct replacement for the CCM brake rotors and pads, but much more durable. The software would just be told the car has steel brakes.

I just put Mov'It front brakes on my street 575M, and their rotors are solid carbon silicon carbide, so last a very long time. They already make replacement rotors and pads for the PCCBs, but I thought you racers might be interested, as well, in replacements for the CCMs.

Could these rotors and pads also be used for a street car? Or is their performance envelope limited to track-use cars only? Do you have a link you can share?

Affirmative, they could be used for street cars, although the CCMs rarely wear out on street cars unless tracked. I just put Mov'Its on the front of my 575M, with rear brakes coming. Here is their web site. Like I said, they already make PCCB replacements, but I was just wondering if there was some interest in CCM replacements. Might be worth asking in the 360/430 forum, too, for those who track their CS/F430. For occasional track use, the rotors likely would never need changing, and the pads only infrequently.

I have a great experience in the ceramic brakes from movit they do a kit for my mercedes c55 amg and a second kit for my nissan GTR, the experience in the closed race roads, hogway, etc are perfect, not fading, not problem,s with the mercedes I doing 50.000 km with the same disks and plaquettes

Francisco- That matches what I have learned. Mine are just on a street Ferrari. I thought all those who switched from CCM to steel brakes might want to try something that would last longer and give all the unsprung weight advantages of ceramic without the CCM disavantages. Would use the same Brembo calipers.

in EEUU some manufacturers made a ccm for the originals calipers, I know for a nissan GTR, the movit people thing the original calipers, can,t suport the ccm temteratures and is not sure to used. My question, is necessary to use a ccm for a normal use, included some times in a racing road or is only a gatget?

Francisco- Not sure I got that, but the Mov'it rotors work great on street cars. I have them on mine. They are able to take temperatures at least as high as the CCMs. I think what you are asking is whether original calipers can take the temperatures the CER rotors can generate? I do not know about other applications, but the Brembo monoblock CCM calipers and Porsche PCCB calipers should be able to tolerate similar temperatures to the Mov'It calipers.
