My friend is selling a set of CF seat out of a F430. He just told me today that he will part with them for less since I live near by, and best of all, friends. He is asking 12500 on ebay, but he is saying 8500 as that is what he thinks it is fair or less than what it is going for.. He just knows that I was planning to buy a F430 4months ago as it came up here at a good value... He just ran it by me and just thought....mmm. I think I bettter get the F430 first before I make a purchase...haha. I know I will get bashed real hard as I don't drive a Ferrari at the moment...(and it is Supra that most Ferrari owners don't really like...haha..)I will get a F430 soon, so I can buy them, but ... hard decision to make.
sorry forgot to attach pics he sent me. I am only 30min away from him, so I may go see them, but my wife will probably kill me if I purchased them... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not how I would describe them. For me, they are worse than slouching in a soft couch. The curve at the back it bad for me and even a short ride makes my back hurt. To the OP: it is a reasonable price but not a steal. The number of IFs that would have to be satisfied to justify purchasing these seats is much too long. Get a car, see how you like it, and then decide if you want different seats, what kind, what color, etc.
I have the CF racing seats in large on my 430 spider. I like them much better than the regular seats as they embrace the driver/ passenger. Note, not for short people as the occupant will sit lower and they are not vertically adjustable. My wife doesn't like them because she's too short and finds it difficult to see out of the back of the car.... thus, I recently installed a new audio system with the back-up camera... cheers FN.
They are really comfortable for long distances if they fit you. Are those seats the original Ferrari ones? they don't look the same as those in my 430
I don't think it makes sense to purchase a $150K car to match the colour of a $10K seat. That logic may not get you the best car for the money, rather you may end up with a compromise to accommodate both.
Thanks guys for the comment. This whole story started when we found a F430 for 100kcad which is about 75kusd at the time with only 5500kms on it., ... I was seriously thinking about it, and of course I was too late when I wanted to even go look at it...this was a few months ago here. I actually went to look at those seats last night... They are just crazy nice. I really honestly have never seen nicer seats to my taste. Absolutely beautiful color, pattern..etc. I knew them in red, but I didn't know they made them in such color. I am short and kinda stubby now, about 140lbs 5.4. Wider uppderbody. It fit really nice, though I have sat on much tighter seats. Maybe Medium would work better for me. and Ferrari Nube, I think I will use the riser on the seat if it is too low. I did that on my other cars before. I just get the spacers made with billet aluminum. He said they are size XL or L. The original owner is too old, and couldn't remember it apparently...He thought it was L, but measures larger than L, so he thinks it is XL.(Still tighter than the original seats in 2000 550 that I had, though). mmm....not sure... considering they don't come around often ,,,, but the largest problem is really how to convince my wife of this .......
and yeah, I think I better purchase either a F360 or F430. It has been on my list for too long....gotta look!!!
Oh for sure (I think anyway) It smelled Ferrari. I think that picture looks little out of wack. It looks different in person for some reason. His camera sucks I think. My friend has a F430 in Vancouver and sat in one of his a while back, and I think it looks exactly the same. Just different color. It was black that I knew, but man this color is so nice... agh.
Hey. I didn't realise that you're in Kelowna. If you're in Vancouver, drop me a PM. You can check my Large CF seats out for size confirmation. Cheers FN
I think that price is not good at all ... get yourself a new set of nice Sparco's for K$ 1! And if able install them yourself !
+1 - those are not light seats even w the carbon fiber. I just bought a scud with the CF seats - 38# each. They look light and look really cool, but u can do much better for less money unless ur set on a piece of a Ferrari.
I just bought this set of Sparco Milano Prestige for 1200$ incl runners. Can't wait to get them fitted. Its not the CF ones but for that price its worth a try. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I say buy them ! No belt changes, no F1 problems, sticky parts, the advantages go on and on. Seriously, get the car first.
These are the F430 race seats in medium. They are big for me and I'm 5'10" and 160. The size will be marked on the side of the seats. FYI, these seats on eBay had better come with the rails or it will be a problem. Image Unavailable, Please Login
yeah, I looked at them last week. They do come with the rails. I never held or checked the weight of the seats, though. That night I talked to my wife and she just laughed at me saying I gotta have a car first. haha..
