    Hey Kuzi,

I was just talking to a dealer about the 4yr service today and they said the critical thing was the timing belt - another reason for the engine out.

    1. I didn't know CGTs had timing belts. True?
    2. I didn't know it was an engine out affair.

    1. False, they having timing chains (Part No 905-105-321-00)

    2. Correct, they remove the engine to do the valves

So the "drive belt" that's to be changed is the alternator (etc) belt? I assume that doesn't require an engine out. Thus, the only reason for the engine out is the valve adjustment? - Tim

Tim, sorry just saw this........yes Jas is correct, only the valve adjustment requires the engine out. I was advised by the service manager at Barrier Motors that my particular car had too few miles for that. Thus it was not performed at this 4 yr major service. I suspect at the next one it will be done.

    Hows the search going?

Cool, thx. The search is going, but slowly. Seems when the CGTs first come on the market, they have stupid high asking prices (>$70k-$100k what it'll sell for). Then, as they sit for a while, they come down to realistic prices and are picked off.

The process of getting a dealer to "hurry" that process is not great. They all want to wait a while longer. Can't say I blame them. It's just a time issue for me when I want one!!!!

I've asked Roy to see what he has in the woodwork. He always seems to have a line on something. :)
