any ideas where the weight savings comes from in the 430 gt2 car? i can't find pictures other than exterior body shots so it's difficult to look for possibilities.

my first guess is getting rid of the alcantara interior but that is barely a start.

I'm guessing they use more carbon panels, lighter exhaust, wheels etc. Does the challenge car have a passenger seat? That'd weigh at least 20kg, it all adds up.

windscreen is perspex, front end panels are plastic or more so than a challenge car, front fenders are bulged for added air into the brake and for gotting rid of hot air, mechanically my mail is that the ECU is completely re mapped

CF Doors, Hood, Fenders are the main things - all these are Aluminum on the CH. Then bits that are glassfiber on the CH are CF on the GT2. 750K ex Michelotto for a GT2, vs 300 or so for a new CH car...

CF Splitter and rocker panels are an option on the Scud, otherwise its bodily as a standard 430. The weight loss is in wheels, lug nuts, no carpets, sound deadening, lightweight seats, door inners are CF. The doors are still Aluminum as is the hood and fenders.

GT2 has carbon fiber bumpers, fenders, doors, splitters, inner fender guards. Lexan front windscreen is used on both 430 Challenge and 430 GT2.

GT2 uses different engine size, gearbox, clutch, wishbones, wheels, hub bearing and uprights, brakes, anti-roll bars, springs, dampers, electronics, wiring, dash, radiators, no ABS, etc. The difference is a lot more than you might guess. In fact there is practically nothing from the 430C parts catalog you can use on the 430GT.
