That is just so cool! You just dropped about 50 lbs of junk back there. Let's see, I measured the exhaust system lately. The stock SS and Spider system (single can) with brackets and cats is 55 lbs. Add 35 lbs for the extra can on the earlier exhaust. Those stock cats are really heavy at about 11 lbs apiece. Newer more efficient (metallic core) ones weigh about half that. Can't tell what you're running back there, if anything at all. ;) Nothing adds Hp better than less weight.

Dr.T, I remember when you bought that exhaust last year -- I'm pretty sure you bought it from the previous owner of my car. When I bought my car, he also had a Tubi and I opted for that -- part of our deal was he got to keep/sell the challenge exhaust. I never heard the challenge exhaust in person, but I know that the previous owner of my car used to carry disposable earplugs in the ashtray compartment -- I think I still a couple of sets of them in there, LOL.

    Enjoy it in good health!

I bought it from Davehelms. It's really not so bad inside the car untill it gets to about 5000 rpm's. May need to keep a set of earplugs in the astray. It's great!!

Bypass pipes! Old muffler was single can.

I wanted to dyno before and after, but got anxious and couldn't wait. I will definitely dyno after with challenge exhaust and bypass pipes. Will post results.

Awesome! BTW, are you sure the entire unit is not tilted down? It looks from the picture like the entire thing could be twisted clockwise and it would fit perfectly. You will have to take it all loose all the way up to the headers (I think, though I have not worked on a 348).

Oops, not the same one then. In any event, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
