Ordered a grille and received last month. Went to put on today and had the following issues: 1.It has about seven or eight spots that look like they have been chipped, and touched up with a black marker. They look purple. 2.Grille is not the same size at both ends. The passenger side, between the light and say the top corner is shorter on one side than the other. I am just not sure what the quality of these things is normally like, because I've never seen another one up close. Any help would be appreciated as I contacted the vendor about returning it. If this was purchased new, you should talk to the seller. Otherwise find a reputable powder coating place to refinish it for you! It will be perfect after that
One thing I've been meaning to mention about Challenge grills, is to remember to transfer the rubber strips from the ends of the original painted piece to the grill, or the grill will eat your paint at each end where it makes contact. By the way, the right hand side of my grill looks similar to the right hand side of the one in the photo. Didn't notice it until just now. Might just be how they are made. I picked mine up used, but it had never been installed before I bought it.
