488 Challenge, GT3 & GTE dampers

Hey guys, does anyone know what type of dampers the 488 challenge, gt3 and gte run?

would the dampers or full coilovers bolt up to an otherwise stock 488, or is that a pipe dream?

(I assume at least some of these are running multimatic dssv type dampers?)

appreciate your collective expertise, thanks in advance.

I love the car but it’s just too damn soft for me, even on the novitec springs.

I think the magnetic dampers are tuned to be very soft at low speeds for comfort. Driving around manhattan the car might as well be suspended on marshmallows.

if only someone made a damper tuning device, like dscsport does for all porsche products….

 

Update: my mechanic did a damper recalibration, and the car is night and day different. 80% of the vertical motion I was experiencing is now gone.

unreal change.

now totally happy with novitec springs + oem damper set up.

I’d recommend people try this if they feel the set up has lost some control/connection.

 

I’m thinking maybe I should start a new thread about the damper calibration process and the huge impact it made on my car. This thread subject isn’t intuitive, and others may find real value in this info

I hope it doesn’t revert back quickly. I wonder if there’s a way to disable the “Learning/adapting” feature for the dampers..
