    Hello guys (and girls),

I am dismantling a crashed 599GTB for the moment and have an issue removing the driver's seat. Most of the electrics are still working in the car and the passenger's seat was working well, so we were able to remove it. But the driver's seat is completely dead, although the fuses are ok and all cables are connected.

I can remove the front rail bolts, but have no access to the rear rail bolts because the seat won't move. I detached the black plug under the seat and have put 12V on the + and - connectors of the plug and got a short (- on the black and + on the red wire), although this should have worked (tested that with the passenger's seat). It gives me the impression that there is a bad connection or issue with the electrics of the seat itself.

Does anyone have an idea if the seat can be pushed forward manually so I can reach the rear rail bolts?

That was a difficult thing to reach: the motor that makes the seat move forward and backward is the one that's furthest from the front. I cut the cables and used the black & white cables to make the seat go forward and backwards on 12V. Then, I finally got the seat out of the car.
