They're Ferrari factory options from the Scaglietti programme.

Do they weigh any less than regular F360 stereo equipment?
To me a stereo in a car like this one seems like a waste, they just sound SO GOOD!

I wouldn't get it, but it looks nice. Just seems like it doesn't belong in that car - to have a stereo, but no floor mats!

My dealer called me in today to see the new Stradale he just got in. While sitting in the car I turned on the radio system. The system in FM sounded like it was in AM mode... just terrible. The only speakers that is saw in the car was the unit in between the two seats. And for a cost of $2000 Cdn I am passing on this option!!

But...when we started the car up...man what a beautiful sound!!

i agree with Andrew, ZJPJ and Loungedog... Who needs an aftermarket stereo system in this car...? According to the reviews of this car, it's LOUD- really loud... It's a road-legal racecar... Does Schumacher drive around the track with a cd player in his F1...? No. i would definitely pass on this option...

...but how 'bout that stripe...?!?!? YEAH, STRIPE...!!!

There are 2 small additional speakers in the bottom of the dash.

But it still sounds like crap.

You would think for 200k they would throw in a Mark Levinson system.

Call me stupid, but I ordered it anyway.

These cars are street cars, not challenge racers. I don't care how good the engine sounds how could you not have a stereo if it is going to be a street car? I bet on a drive longer than 30 min it wouldn't sound like a bad option. Price isn't an issue at this point and if it is not tracked the weight isn't either so why not?

If the stereo was in-dash and the speakers in-wall, I'd probably get it just for the rare times that I want to listen to it. But as it is, I value the package shelf too much to give it up for a mediocre stereo system. If I want music, I'll listen to my iPod or the MP3 player in my cell phone (Treo600). If I want a traffic report, I'll get the SD radio card for my phone. FWIW.

The complete radio setup looks to me like an afterthought, i.e. a marketing guy said that the car have to have late in the design cycle

-the left/right tweeters under the dash have no enclosures
-the sub-woofer in the back has only one speaker; the other is a dummy
-the radio enclosure looks out of place in a purposeful interior

Regarding the sound, I don’t think investing in an aftermarket system makes sense. The acoustics in the car is a mess since all damping has been stripped out.

I second Brian’s opinion if you want music / radio get a portable one.
