Is there such a thing? I saw one at SEMA this year and wasn't sure if they really exist.
I know someone took a photo of it at the Haus a few weeks ago and posted it here. I am sure the pic will be posted here soon
Was it this one? It's a 360 Spider made to look like a Challenge Stradale Spider. http://frank4cars.fotki.com/dorias_haus_of_pizza/haus_of_pizza_3106/img_2200.html
That is a cool looking spider. I wonder who did the stripe? Out of curiosity, would the convertible be any less stiff structuraly than the coupe?
What a goofy idea. Anyone that knows the first thing about Stradales would know that a Spider version would never exist. It would actually be a bit embarrassing to own something like that. You'd constantly have to be explaining why you purchased Stradale parts for your regular Spider.
There actually was a 360CS spyder done by the factory. While I was picking up some parts at Scottsdale Ferrari in '04, the service manager asked me if I wanted to see something kinda cool. He lead me over to a new, red 360 Spyder. From a distance it looked like a run of the mill spyder.........ho hum. But the closer we got, the more unique it looked....it had all the CS body bits, and when the door swung open it revealed the tell tale two tone Alcantara interior, intruments, etc. When I asked what the deal was....I was told that a 'special' customer in San Diego ordered a CS and liked it so much, they honored a request to do a spyder. There I go being a fund of useless information........
I wouldn't go so far as to gut the interior like a CS, but the wheels/stripe/seats/brakes would be an awesome upgrade for your run of the mill spyder. Especially in TDF
OMG is that a CS surfboard that is soooo cool i want that not (car and board) and i think that car is very nice indeed
No sir, useless information that was not. UseFUL information it was. Thank you for sharing that story. I find it very interesting, the little things that are seen and done within the automotive industry. Any more stories?? Feel free to PM them to me (as to not hijack the thread).
