hey, im trying to look for the challenge stradale kits for the regular 360's, where can i find them? and what does the stradale have exhaust wise that makes it soo much louder than a regular 360? thanks!
Take a look at prosport if you want a kit. I highly recommend contacting fellow fchat member "anxpert". He made fiberglass side skirts and bumper inserts for my 360 spider from molds he pulled off OEM stradale parts. They look amazing. As far as the exhaust. Ferrari made a special exhaust specifically for the stradale cars.
Thanks i checked out prosports site and the stradale kit looks great, does anyone know where i could get the stradale exhaust? And also the interior carbon fiber door panels?
The CS sound is not only the " muffler " which is reduced in size compared to a stock 360, but a combination of other items ( MAFs, Air Filter Covers, ECU, TCU, Engine ). Yes it is louder, but the unique sound is a combination of the above items. If your interest is " loud " there are better sounding exhaust systems on a Stock 360. You may go to the expense and trouble of acquiring a CS exhaust to find out that it is nor the sound you where looking for. As a first step you could start by disconnecting the vacuum assisted valves ( plug the vacuum side ) and get a feel for tone. Recommended reading for a CS conversion " 360Trev " 6 Speed Manual Conversion ! Good luck.
Even more reasons you should take to Enrique or as he is known on fact a pert. He did a conversion form spider to stradale. I remeber his stating the dash has to be changed as well
The CS exhaust back box is the same as the 430 exhaust and you can normally pick them up cheap as chips on eBay. BUT they don't fit a normal 360 and some modification is required to fit it. Have heard a 430 exhaust on a 360 and it sounded very similar to a Strad but as mentioned above it's other things that make the sound so good.
I just put one on my 2001 360 - 3 weeks ago and I love it. Highly recommend it - high pitched F1 sound and a grunty burble at idle. Expensive but worth every cent
I have heard good things about the Prosport kit. I´d propably go that route (of course also taking into consideration that I am based in Europe).
yes me too, im wondering whats the kit made out of? fiberglass? i want the quality to be close to factory as possible, and the most important is the fitment.
Prosport is the way to go. Havent tries bodykita but their carbon fuel lid was a perfect fit. No modifications or fiddling about. Fresh off my iPhone via Tapatalk
The CS exhaust was available as an option for '04 and '05 non-CS cars. It was called the 'sport exhaust option'. Its a kit available from dealers and runs around $5500-6000 installed. The kit comes with the 'can', tips, additional heatshields above and below the can, and replacement ECU chips (which only work in '04 and '05 cars). The exhaust is only slightly louder (deeper) than stock at idle but above a certain engine speed/throttle position the valves open and when this happens the exhaust completely bypasses the can -- unlike the stock can which just reroutes the airflow through the can differently. This means that it gets much, much louder and probably louder than any aftermarket system as well since you are basically just exhausting right from the back of the cats when that happens. I choose to have this system installed on my '00 and am very happy with it. I think the genuine Ferrari units have more insulation than the aftermarkets and the added heatshields also afford better protection to the engine bay and possibly the paint on the liftgate, plus the price is comparable or in some cases lower. Just thought I'd share. Good luck with your choice.
I'm not to sure about a kit for it but I do have a new challenge style rear grill forsale for the coupes and spiders if your interested, it helps transform the rear end a little. Also have some catbypass pipes which will give it a more aggressive sound! If your interested shoot me a pm both are new. Thanks. Ryan
I know TiMate ain't exactly a factory item but you should give it a try since you're after the Kreisseg which is known for its sharp pitch note. TiMate with test pipes will be as sharp as it can get. But no valves so be warned.
I just moved to Cape Coral,FL I own a 360 Ferrari and would like to know if anyone can recommend a mechanic here. Also other services that I might need for my Ferrari? Please email me ASAP! Thanks!
I purchased the full kit from mike at pro sport. Very happy with the result. Here's a little video I made of the car (before and after all mods). The kit looks superb [ame]http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TLnyMBqjiHs[/ame]
Were there any issues with fitment of the front bumper ? This is a common complaint. Where did you get the seats ?
Thanks for the positive comments guys. No issue with front bumper as such. Right side is not as flush as left but otherwise all good. Seats were found from a dealer after 4 years of waiting for the right ones to come along
