Challenge wheels tud installation question.

I started looking in to installing a set of challenge studs ( part # 178043) on my 348 to go along with a set of Challenge wheels I have for it. There is 14MM of the stud behind the flanged area ( the side going into the threaded hub) The flange of the stud stops against the face of the rotor hat engaging only approx 1 1/2 to 2 threads. Not enough to hold anything.

I assume the rotors should be machined so the flanged section of the wheel stud goes through and seats against the face of the hub.

Is there anyone familiar with this I can attempt to post some pictures if needed.
