Went out today around 11:00 AM and watched from the inner fence at the Festival turns. Great place to see these cars brake and corner. Only a half dozen cars or so were testing today. They ran both dry and wet setups (tires) along with different final ratios. The sound is incredible!

No, not at all the same! The pitch is much lower and not near as loud as the F1 cars. Still a great sound though.

Watching them come through the Festival turns really drives home the braking capabilities of these cars. They don't get on the brakes till about 15' before course worker access hole (orange opening) on the inside portion of the track just before hard right into Festival. And, then they are full on the gas after they hit the apex through the right hand corner exiting Festival. Simply amazing!

I was going to go but then it started to hail pretty good so I figured testing would be over by the time I got there.

They are fun to watch-- hopefully I'll get to the race again this year.

Did anyone see them practice the standing start? I read all the complaining in the paper yesterday morning.

I went out yesterday afternoon and only one car was running for 15min...then it started to rain so they stopped...and then it got sunny so there was some hope...and finally it started to hail so defiantly nothing was going to happen. Stoddart wasn't even there! It was ok though; I'll just wait until next month.
