Happy 4th to all who celebrate! I bought my 458 Italia a few years ago with the front and black emblem already black, as per pics below I’m thinking of changing to silver, which I believe was how the car came originally? What do you think? thanks, Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer the chrome or silver emblems. Especially on Black/Nero. I would just buy OEM replacement. Image Unavailable, Please Login
yellow front and red rear would work on OP car. Red all around would work on second poster's car. Otherwise, factory chrome is the way to go
Silver emblems would definitely bring it back to that classic Ferrari look clean and OEM+. I’d say go for it. Sweet ride.
Yea I could be wrong please let us know. But I think theres a screw on the other end. Thats definitely how the front hood yellow rectangular emblem is attached that I know for a fact.
Definitely silver you can’t even see them on the black car Plus the Ferrari lettering on the rear is silver so will match
My 458 came with all black emblems. They are simply lacquer coated silver ones from the factory. Take them off and soak them in lacquer thinner till all is dissolved, and buff them out and you will have OEM silver ones. That is what I did. The front Cavallino is held on with some small metric nuts on the rear of the projected support bracket.. You might be able to get to the rear bumper one by removing the top of the air cleaner box.
While I'm at at - what about putting the Pinanfarina emblem back on the sides? Appreciate the opinions. thank you. brian
Yes available at Ricambi. Measures for placement exactly as noted. Adhesive tape on back. Yes since it is the last Pininfarina designed Ferrari.
No. I removed the back emblem when I had PPF installed. Left the bumper in place. Small hands will definitely help get those tiny nuts off.
