Can someone tell me when Ferrari changed from the reverse H pattern to the standard one?

First gear used to be down on the stick, now it's up.
    New pattern
    1 3 5
    2 4 6

    Old pattern - standard H
    2 4
    1 3 5

I asked a lot of members of the club and no one seems to know.

The Old pattern wasn't have you have portrayed it here, It was dog-legged 1st to second, and again 3rd to 4th,

    R 2 4
    1 3 5

The new pattern was adopted to incorporate the 6 speed box, True, but also to assist quicker and more efficient gear shifts.

First 6 speed gearbox was fitted to 82328 355GTS Prototipo in 1989, Production didn't see them until 1991.

I thought the old pattern was actually

    R24
    135

This way, during racing the 2 to 3 shift was a straight pull on the lever. This is a quicker shift than a diagonal shift. Since 1st is almost never used during racing, the diagonal 1 to 2 does not slow you down.
