Does anyone know the exact production week number when they change over to new Model Year? Is it always post August factory shutdown or do they change over a few weeks before August shutdown? I have a July production slot for SF90 and wanted to know if that would be MY21 (M) or MY22 (N).

I think you are in the UK so its irrelevant - probably a US car would come thro as 2022 but the changeover is not fixed

Correct, in the UK, but it’s very relevant. So EU/UK Model Year changeover is later in the year then, October/November?

Model years are a US fantasy to sell cars in much the same way as the UK reg plate change - the main difference is that the former is reflected in the VIN unlike almost anywhere else - hence irrelevant unless as M Massini notes you can explain why I am wrong - car improvements are typically introduced by Ferrari as and when not on a specific date each and every year

Hi Marcel glad you picked up the thread. Very simple, I want a 21 Model year car only, as I do not want anymore EU “kill the fun” gadgets inside my car that are coming down the track, and the production date model changeover is critical to me.

The country I live in is Switzerland and here the date of first registration matters, and nothing else. If first registered early January 2022 it is different (and car must have a gazillion stupid nannies, gimmicks and gadgets) than if registered on 31 December 2021. So much for the (new) stupid EU laws (and Switzerland and UK? is not in the EU........but we stupidly take over the same rules). As for automobile production, to the best of my knowledge, Ferrari doesn't really change model year, the cars are continually improved and get the latest stuff (see also GPF or not), sometimes in the middle of the year.

Thank you Marcel. Yes EU rules, but UK and Switzerland have signed up unfortunately for more nanny state crushing driving enjoyment! Regards.
