stop lights. The entire car shuts off (Engine, headlights, dash, etc..). When I turned the key back on, nothing happened. I waited a second, took the key out and put it back in and the car would start right back up again. What gives?
I bought a new crank sensor from ricambi. I spliced it in (because the connectors have changed and the old ones are NLA). The engine and tachometer both worke fine now (rear bank was out before).
Could switching the positive and negative on the sensor do this? It only cuts off sometimes. One time, the lights just cut off but the engine kept running because I was keeping the RPM's up at a stoplight. I turned the light switch off and on again and the lights came back on.
I have NEVER had the car do this before.
    Suggestions?

I don't think that anything in the ignition system could stop the headlights or dash stuff from working. You've just got to check all the large primary battery connections (battery terminals, ground, cut-off switch (if so equipped), the big 4-way connector block...

I did just have a ground cut off switch put in when I had the car repainted.
