I posted this in 345/355 section but I'll post here as well...how hard is it to replace the f1 gearbox fluid? Is it hard bleeding the system? Also, what fluids have people used? I'm tempted to replace with fully synthetic fluid as the recommended Shell Donax TX is semisynthetic from what I understand. Any help (especially with instructions) would be appreciated.

Wow. 50 views and no response? Is it hard to do or are people just being lazy?

Changing the F1 gearbox oil (not to be confused with F1 hydraulic fluid) looks quite like changing the tranny oil on the 348: http://www.club348.com/technical/Tech/348.html#ClutchTransmission

Open #21 first, drain via #22, and check the level via #28 (see pic below):

Now, if your question is instead about the F1 hydraulic fluid, then drain it, fill it, and finally bleed it via this procedure: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135632782&postcount=7

#21 comes out first? I never got that far, couldn't get #28 out. So to that point, make sure you try that first THEN open the drain plug, just in case :D I'm going to change mine when the engine comes out this winter for the major.

Right. You want the fill plug to be open first because if you do it the other way (i.e. draining first) then you might get stuck being unable to refill your tranny.

So you open #21 first to make certain that you can fill her up, then you remove #22 to drain (preferably when hot...or letting her drain overnight).

#28 shouldn't be on tight at all, though. That's your tranny dipstick plug!

ok, I thought you refilled through #28. Either way that thing didn't budge with a ton of torque (not literally); one thing working against me was the long chain of extensions to get down there. Anyway I'm happy, driven like a dream all summer!

Well, in a pinch you *can* refill through the dipstick plug #28.
