    Dear Ferraristi,

I just bought a couple of new front rotors and pads for my 91 TR (US)

Any tips or pitfalls? Could someone please give me a play by play?

Do you have to disconect the brake line or can you just move it over enough with the caliper attached to put the rotor. The fluid was just changed a couple months ago with a full fluids change at the local Ferrari Dealer.

Your help is appreciated as usual.

It's always advisable to replace your brake fluid regularly, so disconnecting the line is no big deal, however, if you slide out the spring clip from the pipe fixing near the ball joint, you'll be able to move the caliper out the way without disconnecting and bleeding. Support it on something (a box) or tie it up without straining the rubber line.

Do not bend the steel line much if at all, you may fatigue it and end up cartwheeling down the road when it breaks later........

Be careful with the caliper mounting shims......easily lost., and check the spacing with the new disc in place, but it's likely to be ok.

    Dear Ferraristi,

Shims ! That what I was afraid of. It is like the 308 again? ...multiple thicknesses...inside and outside spacers needed....or have they finally improved the system.

    Please let me know.:)
