Here is another observation, that may fit into the pattern. When I use my 355 everyday for a week, I find that 2nd is rarely problematic on cold, it slips straight in. However If I leave the car for over a week in the garage, the 2nd gear stiffness returns for the first few minutes of driving.
it seems quite a few have this 2nd gear selection problem chris, mine does the same doesnt bother me ,certainly no cause for concern, but i will be changing the gear oil over winter and will probably use a fully synthetic gearoil ,let you no how i get on.
What is it about the 348? 348 v 355 wars 348 v 911 war 348 v 360 war now? I reckon it all started when Angelis bought a 348 !
Bloody 'ell Chris, what you been doing? You picked it up on Saturday!!! Should've come out to play with us on Sunday over some of East and North Yorkshire's best, most open and empty roads ever - just under 200 miles in just over 2 hours ... before breakfast! Suuuperb
No Sy, mine had a bit of problem with 1st this morning. Mind you, it was the wife that was driving it for the first time I have since told her not to try sticking it from 2nd to 1st when the cars still moving!
My Wife has been away all weekend and I had the Kids to attend to. First opportunity was this evening! Not sure why it has a CD Player in. Had the window down and listened to the engine. I am absolutely hooked - unreal!!!!!!!!!! Chris.
errrr, nope, sorry, am I missing something? There was Stu's Z3 S, my Spider, lotus Exige, TVR Griff 500 and a TVR T350. Not joking, the run was stunning. One section twisting up a tree lined valley could've been in the southern Alps. Hardly saw another car, and not one scamera!
Left solihull at 11.30pm on Saturday night!!! hence lack of sleep and little chance of joy ride!!! Then on a great day for a spin i ended up going to watch ice hockey at Notts!
All 348s are cable linked gear change.I dont no where you got that from about the later cars.(except mine.) Andy.
