    i just ordered ngk dr8eix spark plugs them come without the ends do i need them this is the first time changing my plugs and i don't have the old plugs out yet please give me a heads up please and would it help to warm the car up to take the plugs out easyer .thank you for any help , best to all jim

    No, the extender connects directly to the small threaded stud protruding from the top of the plug.
