Battery's dead in 05 430 and wanted to know how difficult it is to change it out? Did a search but didn't find anything.
    Thanks in advance.

Very straight forward. It is located in the passenger floor board. Stick your head down there and removal should be self explanatory.

VERY EASY.....page 107 of your owners manual shows where to look for it and how to access it and the snapshot below shows you what you will find....it is a 15-30 minute job.

Attached you'll find the complete procedure on removing the battery + some recommendations about tightening torques and the ECU relearning process.

    Good luck John,
    Cheers,

Remember you must have your radio key code to activate the radio after the new battery install. If you don't have the key code you need the correct serial number on the radio. Of course, the radio may not be the music you listen to in your 430.

I think it may also be important to know which terminal to disconnect first. not sure whether it is positive or negative terminal disconnected first. I changed my battery a couple of months ago and cannot remember. I have ther reminder taped to the battery so I can see it when I get to it.
(Also......I use a battery tender and got over 6 years on my battery.)

maybe someone here can answer the question.
