The water temperature gauge is located at the top of the instrument panel.

My question: Do I have to remove the steering wheel (I would prefer not to; I do not now want to screw it up) in order to change the water temperature gauge? It looks like there may be enough room to not remove the steering wheel.

    Thanks.

It would be easier w/o the steering wheel in the way.

I would think those six allen screws would be real easy way to remove the outer part of the wheel, without pulling the hub.

I agree it would be easier without the steering wheel in the way. I read that after I remove the 6 allen screws, I would need a steering wheel puller? Is there more than 6 allen screws holding the steering wheel on? What does it entail to remove the steering wheel?

    Thanks for your input!

If you remove the 6 screws, the wheel will come right off (lift the horn button off first and disconnect the wire to it. It has a simple plug). It's only if you are removing the hub to which those 6 screws go into that you might need a hub puller.

If you spend more than 1 minute removing the wheel, you are slow.

While you have it apart, it’s a good time to replace or update the bulbs ( leds). Also, clean up the grounds.
