    New owner in South Charlotte.
Looking to join a local Ferrari group.
Had a great time with the Piedmont Group at Sport Auto a month or so back.
    Long day; however.
    Need something local.
    Any help - greatly appreciated.

Also - any great driving roads frequented by the Group?

    Thanks.

I don't think CAFE does much driving(I coudl be wrong). They do lots of weekend meets with maybe a small driver after lunch.

If you wanna drive you need to talk to David Scott (FCA of SC pres.). He'll drive anywhere anytime hahaha

Jeremy is right. David will drive anywhere. And he knows all the
good backroads between Columbia and Charlotte. I don't think
they allow him on main roads and interstates anymore. Just
kidding. Send a pm to Juan Manuel Fantango!

Come join us for the Petit LeMans, as it is on this week in Atlanta. If you need rooms, let me know as I have some left at $76.00 per night.

Elan Motorsports on Friday, etc, check our the post on this board. Also, vist www.fca-sc.org for our calandar. As for CAFE, they are a great group of guys, local, and active. Kevin does a fantastic job in rounding them up. That being said, Jeremy is right, we have done some really fun events this years and have a number schedueled. They all involve travel and driving. I say it's time for a Dragon Tour! www.tailofthedragon.com

Now that the race season is almost over and my 30k service should be done at the end of this week, I will be ready for some good long drives as well.

    CAFE never drives????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

You need to contact Kevin Fielden to get on the CAFE mailing list. Shoot me a PM, and I'll give you his contact info. I logged over 5000 miles on my 355 in the past year. I'm no David Scott, but that's a respectable amount of driving for a Ferrari.... of course... not all of it was with CAFE events.

I can compete with David Scott on the worst speeding ticket... mine was 105 in a 55. They didn't haul me to jail like they normally do with David!!! :)

As for the ticket, you are an official Fantango go daddy.

Aye, I and three other 944's plan on going in November, I'd be up for another one though before or after I'm sure. Getting to the best time, less leaves, better visibility.

Does getting pulled over for going 105 in a 55, and begging the cop to lower the ticket to 60 in a 55, then pleading with the judge that 60 was a little close to 55 and that the rest of traffic was all going the same speed, but he pulled ME over because I have a Porsche, so they dropped the ticket all together, count?
