the striped cloth material on the rear shelf of my 308 really has to go: water-stained and torn in two places, it brings shame and ill-repute to an otherwise very nice interior. trouble is, i think this cloth material is NLA. my shop cannot get it.

is my last resort for correctness ferrari classiche? would they sell to an individual just a few yards of this stuff so i can reupholster the shelf here locally?

im fed up with looking at it this way and i absolutely definitely do not want to use a different cloth..but may consider a switch to leather if all else does not pan out (even tho it will not match the targa top underside).

any suggestions on where to get this cloth is very greatly appreciated.

No intention to turn this into a group buy thread, however...I would also be interested in several square yards of the material for the same reason. My "rear" shelf has a few water stains and I'd love to remove and replace.

    So...I'm interested as well.

Suggest you try a search on here first, plenty of past posts about it, for instance:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/270931-3x8-parcel-shelf-targa-top-fabric.html

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/260318-308-headliner-material-buy-group.html

Not recommending any of these in particular, but Re-Originals, World Upholstery & Trim (WorldUPH), ItalianCarParts.Com are amongst those who were selling this material when I bought some over 10 years ago.

    Good luck with it.

It will always look bad eventually if you drive with the roof off. I swapped mine for leather not long after I bought the car and the junk that collects back there is grim. The leather is easy to clean, the cloth is nigh on impossible....

Re-original might have enough for just one or two cars last time I deal with them, unless they've found another source and restocked.

How many yards do you need? Which color? Here are available black, blue, red and beige.

Alberto...what is the cost/yard? Also, I'm assuming there was only one color of beige? Cheers!

Hi Alberto. I would take 2 yards of the black cloth if available, and 2 yards of the beige. Would it be possible to purchase some?

I will ask for the price and will put you in contact. Please send me a pm with the yards and color you need of Zegna fabric, and your email address too. Detailed pictures of the fabric (black) are shown in my discussion "208 turbo engine overhaul and restore", actual page 2 of discussions index.
    Thanks.
    Ciao

Edit: here below the Zegna fabric I mean, in black, shown on a seat: is that what you are looking for?

Alberto, If the black fabric is available, I'd like to buy enough to recover my targa top, which is badly stained, and the package shelf, in my Nero/Grigio '88.5 328 GTS.

If you tell me the width of the fabric, I can figure out how many yards I'd need to purchase.

    Thanks!

Go to fabric store and purchase your color choice of suede (even faux suede!). A very easy and inexpensive DIY.

    1) Remove shelf
    2) Remove or leave original fabric
    3) Cut suede to size
    4) Apply 3M "Spray On" adhesive
    5) Smooth and tuck
    6) Replace shelf

P.S. If you insist on OEM type fabric, go to fabric store and you will find something almost identical. I did, but decided to go with suede :)

I have been sitting on this 4sq yard of original like fabric for my QV for about 5 years now. I bought this from Veloce for my targa top lining and the back deck as it is black vinyl right now. I think I will go ahead and use soon before something happen.

due to the many requests I received by email, asking for the Zegna fabric, maybe it's better to write here where to find it, for everybody.

It comes from my interior specialist, here in Italy: if you need some info, please contact him directly at [email protected]

He redid my seat, the one showed in the pictures.

The fabric roll width is 1,5 meter (1,6 yards more or less)

No affiliation. I pay him when he works for me: I don't sell fabric, sorry.

    Hope to have been useful.

    ciao

    EDIT:
I just received a WhatsApp message from Piezo.
The answer deserves to be shared: the colors available are black, beige, red, blue.

Thank you Alberto. I appreciate you sharing the information. I emailed, ordered and received the exact replacement zenga black material for my 85 QV. They were great to deal with and I'm very pleased. For those wondering, I paid roughly $157 sq meter. My upholsterer said I needed at least two meters, so I ordered double. Shipping was $135 from Italy to my upholsterer but he had it in two days after the bank transfer/order. The stuff is HARD TO FIND but it's out there.
