chasing my tail

After following all the great advice from Steve and reading all that I could about the CIS I can only get it to run properly (minus fast idle) at a certain temp range. Yesterday it was 68F and ran her good and hard enjoying every second. This morning with an ambient of 60F it would not run even if I peddeled it. Frustration led me to wire brush the WUR and get a magnifying glass and the number I come up with in the quatro manual for a 2V is 0438-140 033 and what I see on the WUR is 0458 140 083. Can this be modified to work or can the proper one be found. As of yet I have had no luck. Once it's running up to temp it is fine but I cannot live with an improper starting engine. Since I bought the 2V I have found a toasted AAV and supplementary air valve and the sensor plate was misaligned. Is there a list of what that part number of the WUR is for? Any help ? Our summer in the UP is just starting and will end in 3 mos. Lost

PS I have adj. the WUR and I can achieve proper cold control pressure or proper warm control pressure but not both.
