What time does it start?
I may come up for this if the weather is suitable. Besides, I need a "fix" of Fazoli's breadsticks, always a good reason to visit Chattanooga! I also have a plastic model show to attend in Huntsville, but taking advantage of the hour gained enroute, I should still be able to get there by 12:30 CDT. For dinner, I will get a "fix" of sauerbraten, hard to find in Atlanta but easier in Huntsville (and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know why)!
C&C is this Saturday at 9am! We are heading back to our usual spot at the Starbucks on Hamilton Place Blvd. See everyone there!
Hey guys, we are going to have a special C&C this month to end the year. We are teaming up with Drager's Toy Drive to help with the Toys for Tots campaign. It's on 12/8 10am-3pm @ the First Tennessee Pavilion, and all they ask is that you bring a new, unopened toy. See everyone there! For more info go to http://www.draegerstoydrive.com/
I know a lot of it has to do with the weather, anyone know when we are going to do this again in Chattanooga?
Ben, mini ferrari (aka Jerry) is usually the guy who announces the next meet. He normally doesn't have a January or Febuary meet just because the weather keeps the turn out small. I am pretty sure the next one will be in March but you might send him a PM just to check if he plans to organize something sooner.
If people are wanting to have one this month I'm all for it. We'll set it up for 1/26 at 9am at the Starbucks on Hamilton Place Blvd. See you guys there!
If the weather doesn't interfere, I'm inclined to drive up from Marietta. Is there going to be an event?
If I go - and I'll decide for sure on Friday when I see what the weather is doing - I hope to leave by 7:30. The meeting point used in the past is the QuikTrip just east of I-75 exit 306 near Adairsville. If anyone wants to meet me there, figure on being there not later than 8:00. But check back on Friday evening.
Sounds good, we will plan on that if you decide to go. The weather looks good, although cold in the AM. There is great restaurant in Chattanooga called Big River Grill that Jennifer and I are going to eat lunch there before we head back. If anyone wants to join us, they would be more than welcome to!
OK, but we are sort of set on a pasta dish they have there..besides, aren't you cheating on us and going to Greenville??? Can you be trusted?
Call me plebeian, but when I visit Chattanooga, I usually wind up at Fazoli's. Certainly not the greatest food, but the price is right and they have the best breadsticks I've ever had (and as many as you like!). Since they pulled out of Atlanta some years back, I have to get my breadstick fix every time I'm in Tennessee.
Since everyone else down here has decided to stay put (including those who were going to the Greenville C&C), I've decided to as well. I was looking forward to a drive back on GA-52, but it might be covered with sand/salt, which would be no fun, so maybe next month.
Yeah it looks like they covered the roads pretty good at some point last night. Plus my driveway is pretty slick, so it looks like I'm not going anywhere until the weather warms up.
