No offense taken, have no choice but to find the humor in it myself. I'll take some pics tomorrow. Unless one of you gents under warranty had it miraculously fall off in my driveway lol.
Go to a car audio place, tell them what happened. They'll figure it out. They're usually surprisingly good.
There was a company on the Aston Martin forums (6speedonline) that was fabricating replacement machined aluminum knobs for AM. They were nicely machined billet pieces, much nicer than the plastic factory knobs. I can't see the fcar knobs being drastically engineered that they couldn't be reproduced.
Do a search on the Aston Martin forum at 6speedonline. There was a company that was machining billet aluminum replacement knobs for AM. I can't see that the fcar pieces would be so drastically different that they wouldn't be able to machine some decent replacements.
Take a shot, maybe one of these places will sell you the know but the right price. Salvage Ferrari 458 For Sale | Page 1
I have no idea about the price difference either. We all know these brakes are expensive, whether we drive Fezzas, Porsches, Meccas, Lambos and what not, so I don't find that difference interesting, and I don't think it's huge. But it seems to me that the "relevant" questions at hand here, would be. "How much does an interior plastic knob for a Mecca cost?" and "Is Mclaren as pricey when it comes to small cheap replacement bits?"
There is a German wrecker on eBay (sorry don't have the link) who could help you for sure. Maybe surf a bit on eBay and you will find them. A buddy has bought from them before.
Update: Ferr of Atl reached out to FNA and explained the situation and they are doing to source one for the parts for me. Seems its more of an issue down the supply chain (assuming they only bought complete parts I guess).
I recall your thread and I came across this source. They are in the UK, but I'm sure they can probably help you. The specialize in exotic car salvage parts. Good luck: Contact information - Prestige Salvage prestigesalvagebreaker on eBay

Does anyone have a place that does take off parts from wreaked Ferrari's? I know with my Mucielago I bought a take off wheel, instead of paying 5k from Lamborghini. Just a thought.
gave them a call they want $1050 for the whole unit. 2013 Ferrari 458 Italia [Ferrari 458 Italia] - $0.00 : Exotic Auto Recycling, Leading part supplier for Ferrari, Maserati, & Lamborghini
Resurrecting an old thread since I'm missing this same piece. Anyone have the exact dimensions so I could get one 3D printed? Or a source that I'm not thinking of? I messaged Sticky No More just in case they have a parts bin... Thanks in advance all
That's what you get for listening to the "audio" system versus just listening to the engine .... <kdding> - well actually for me not kidding but I realize a lot of people enjoy the audio systems in their cars - Or perhaps you were just using if for voice navigation/activity so you get a pass <kidding again>
Honestly the stereo in the 458 I picked up is 100x the quality of the California - both supposedly have the Premium system from the factory. Nice to have the option, but certainly listening much more to the engine than the radio! Cheers
