Hummm.....Does anyone smell a scam on this one 1984 308 GTSI Ferrari Miles: 8946 Doors: 2 doors or more Transmission: Manual Interior: Tan Engine: 8 - Cyl. Year: 1984 Buy it now price: US $8,500.00 Item number: 270021970094 What a bargin
Hmmm, the seller's BidPay ID is runningman400. Is he running from the cops, prior "customers" or his girlfriend?? Maybe he has a 400i that is still running?? I wonder if I showed up with cash in person, what would happen? Maybe, this guy just doesn't know what he has? Maybe not.
The title is clear too. Even it was flooded and involved in a major accident, it should still be worth more than $8,500. Oh well, whatever...
Has anyone checked to see if he has other current bargins going..before he disapears with the deposits? Doug
I was bored at work and have been emailing this seller saying i would buy the car. I havent heard anything from him but he may be looking for a patsy as I have been asking about the car.

It's probably a scam. They do this with motorcycles on Ebay all the time. Asking a question of the seller usually results in no reply, as I think a previous chatter has experienced. But let me just say that if one of you buys this and it turns out to be a straight car, DON'T TELL US unless you want to see mass suicide.
Someone may have hijacked his eBay account and posted a ficticious auction. That recently happened to me. I had a Ford F350 for sale which I never owned/put up on auction.
It IS a scam. I emailed once on a 330 GTC that was priced at 25,000 or some ridiculously low price. They want a $2,500 deposit FIRST then promise to deliver you the car with a guarrantee that if it doesn't meet your standards, they'll give your money back. I toyed with them for a while, emailing back that I was really interested in the car, but I wanted to talk to them. I even tracked down the "listed" owner in NYC and mentioned I'd call them (him) directly. They finally sent me a phone number listed in Kentucky, which, of course, then I knew it as fake. They send something about using "Ebay's escrow service" which, as everyone should know, doesn't exist. Its definately a scam. They post a Ferrari about once every 2 months or so, usually with pictures of a car that has already sold or was previously listed. James in Denver
