    Spring cleaning sale. :)

All original project car, pretty much a barn find that runs and drives. 42k miles.
    Needs full restoration. Solid unibody.

    Located near Cincinnati, Ohio.

Perfect beach or vacation house car. Just restore the mechanicals and leave it looking as-is.

Channel your inner Nick Nolte and give this baby blue beast a shot.

the 58 59 60 continental convertibles are cool cars. i had a 59 convertible. these are uni-body cars, judging by the rust in the rockers this car is ready to break in half !

    She's not that bad. ;)
There's an inner frame rail and an outer rocker. It makes for a strong structure but is a perfect place for dirt to collect and kill the outer sheetmetal.

Door gaps are still pretty good, which is where the first sign of body sag will be evident.

Just take those speed bumps sloooooowly. :)

I kid. Looks like it would make a good project to help someone's teenage son become more mechanically inclined over the summer.

Thanks, your optimism is appreciated :)

Now that you mention it, I grew up tinkering with cars just like this.
Dad used to drive a '54 Chevy convertible that was so rusty he kept losing his lunchbox through the holes in the floor :D

With all those holes perhaps Switzerland would have been more appropriate? ;)

I had a look at one of these and a long conversation with the owner at a Cars & Coffee event a couple of years ago. These are not simple cars get working properly. Especially that top!

Looks like it's going to be saved now which is great!

They always were soooo over the top.

New owner is really enthusiastic about it, which makes the sale even better. I had thought about keeping it and making it a beater/driver but the top and HVAC system are prohibitively time consuming to mess with.

There's something like 23 relays in the top system alone!

Just spent a bunch of time getting this '62 back on the road for the owner. Wonderful car to drive though. Surprising amount of power for a car with only a single 2bbl carburetor :D

Nice work on the '62. I've always loved those cars. One of my neighbors in the Bronx had three of them in his driveway, although only one was running.

No harm in that, the others come in handy for spare parts! :)
